Leg 2 pairs Stu and Steve were given the task of the the longest and hilliest leg of the day, the double act, charged around the course and kept Eden in touch, and thats with Steve running though the pain barrier with a slightly twisted ankle. Kim and Sam headed off on the navigation leg, running the first mile following flags to where they picked up the maps and then set about orienteering their way over the unfamiliar fells. Kim seemed keen to put a fast time in after not being able to be apart of the IHR. The time was 13th fastest on their leg and pushed Eden up to 24th place.
Kim and Sam put me in a great position, and I set of scared knowing that lots of the teams had put their fastest runners on the last leg I really needed to dig deep. Sadly two past me, but Eden finished in 27th place out of 182 teams.
All in all another good relay fell performance from Eden.
