A big thank you to everyone who took part in the 2009 race- we hope you all had a great time.
The next Haweswater Half Marathon will take place on
Sunday 7th March 2010 at 11.30 am.
Last year saw a record number of runners taking part, and we expect next year’s race to fill up fast!
You can enter the race online using John Schofield’s excellent race results service: http://www.ukresults.net and also find a map, pdf entry forms and all the other useful information you’ll need there. You can also download an entry form from here. If you have any other queries, please e-mail Julia King
With any profits from the Haweswater Half Marathon, we try to help improve the facilities and create opportunities for junior athletes in Penrith and the local area.
Last year saw the unveiling of a new athletics pavilion at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Penrith, part-funded by Eden Runners.
This year we also helped to fund the refurbishment of the long jump pit at QEGS, and have started a bursary scheme to help young, gifted runners with their travel expenses to big events.
